Turbo Virgin Advice?

Well I made the decision to join the 4-stroke club after having issues over the years with each of the other 3 majors from a reliability perspective. I will be picking up a Phazer MTX for my 11 year old and treating myself to an Apex with a MC Xpress turbo, both 08's. I had tried one last year and couldn't wait for the chance to own one.

As a first time owner of a turbo I decided to just go with the Stage 1 set up to start (est. 260 hp) as I am hoping to get both performance and reliability. Just wondering if there are any top five must do's or don'ts with a turbo set up that is different from a normal sled? So far the only issues I have seen on the hill seem to be with fuses so any advice will be most welcome.

PS - Any thought on what would be other priority additions would be great particularly your rationale as I am anxious to make a few changes but not sure where to start.

Thanks in advance!

the most important issue you will face is the dealer or installer you are using.

Are you installing yourself or have you chose a dealer who has done several?

They are a blast to ride if set up properly but a PIA if the smallest of things go wrong due to a poor install or a dealer who is less than knowledgable.

Happy boosting

Rule number one for me with all the power is

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

You will end up in some places that'll make you wonder how you got there.
