Turbo SkiDoo & Yamaha riding

Well I got to pull the trigger on our Doo 1200 4 stroke with same turbo as our Powder lites Nytro at same boost. !!
First time out the doo is very smooth and fast.
The races are on at Powder Lites when we going riding with demo sleds.
SkiDoo seems to love climbing hills and in a same boost drag it has more cc's and is faster so far.
More fine tunning and clutching and EFI setup should be causing a few Yamaha's guys to take notice.

SkiDoo Turbo 1200

Yes OBR we are going to build SkiDoo 1200 kits and have been working on them for a few months now. All most ready and we are going to do a few more installs and see how they run after this week. A Top Secret bunch of guys will be running all the Yamaha's around Eagle's Pass and Sicamous, BC
So far turn the key and runs like stock except your arms get tore off!!
Rapid bike 3 works very much like stock without any hickups at all.
We are taking names for the guys that want a turbo kit for this Doo.
Perfer guys close so we can get lots of feed back and able to fix any changes right away. We know that even our Yamaha turbo kits are always improving so the doo will be the same.

How do you compare prices on these turbokits? A powderlites kit will be way more expensive than the mcx for us living in Europe. Mcx kit for the 1200 doo is $4850USD..... Same mcx kits for sale in the us is above $6000....

I know you have imported powderlites Nytro kit to Norway, how much was it?? And then how does it compare against mcx??

Turbo skiDoo in Eagle pass today

well we heard from a very excited Top secret guys riding today that it was running well and even a couple of American guys were test riding it!!
Hope to figure out a couple of clutching problems and see what it will do with more boost.

Well, the problem with the MCX kits in the US, is they are IMPORTED, therefore, they are way more expencive.

The Powderlites kit is made in Canada, and prices are in Canadian dollars... The stage 2 kit I've got, was a little more than the MCX kit, but it came with RB3... And back then the MCX kits was putting out 230 hp, vs the 270 on the Powderlites...

We have the sled pretty much ready to ride now, so I'll get back with a comparison asap....
 
Hey Dave, was also there at Eagles pass that test day. Nice setup. I was wondering why you would mount the turbo in front as opposed to the side where the muffler was? Does it make any difference in the performance? What's the max boost and e.g.t.'s safely run on that 1200? Are you planing dyno tests on it? Sure be curious to see what its putting out.
Hey, did you finally get some gas from one of the guys when you were stopped at 8 km. Sorry I couln't help, had no gas myself. I met your partner waiting for you at 2 km. and told him your situation. Then went to start my sled and my cord pulled out. I had to get towed for 2 km. by my friends TM8.. The most scariest 2 km. tow of my life!
