Turbo Screen Material

Does anyone know where I can get a roll of that silk type screen that you see wrapped around the filter for turbos? It needs to be snow-proof and all that, but I need enough of it to cover a 16x24 inch area.

Thanks in advance.

cheap price?

That seems kind of expensive for a small chunk of material, but I don't know. Are there any other options out there?

Bend over

Ok 18 x 18 is $38.00. That's almost $17 per sq ft. So a yard is like over $153. Can you say bend over. There's got to be another option...

i think you hit it on the head in your first post. Silk screen material ( monofilament or multifilament polyester ). It flows air extremely well and is water resistant as polyester is hydrophobic by nature.

I bought some 120 thread polyester screen material today and its a bit porous. Move up to a 300 or 400 thread/inch version and you should be fine. Dickblick art supplies online sells this type for about $27.00/yard.

I don't know about the other materials that are out there, but I do know that the Temish fabric from SLP is top notch! Or check with Outerwares, I have these over the K/N's on my Dellorto's.
Proprietary=pricey, but on a turbo I wouldn't worry about the price
