Turbo questions??

Hey guys,

Im looking at a silber turbo kit for my 09 d8.
My questions I have is how adaptable is a turbo. I would like to be able to ride at 0-1000' and 9-10k'. Is this doable with a turbo?

How reliable is a turbo?

How difficult are they to install and tune?

I am pretty mechanically inclined, I just dont know hardly anything about boosting.

Any kind of info would be alot of help!

I just bought a 08 d8 with this kit on it. Seems to run good here (1900ft) just around the house and loading it (no snow) and just came back from Wyoming @ 10000ft last week. Put a 150 miles on and also runs good. Seriously good. Only thing done was change weights. Beings it is a toy I had to play with it a little. The tuning seems real easy. The guy I bought it from said he didn't touch the controller in 2 years and I believe him. It didn't miss a beat. Also had to check out the installation. I don't think that would be too bad either. This 1 was installed and tuned by Justin Silber himself I was told though. Ran 8psi and can't believe the power it makes. Didn't think highly of a turbo on a 2stroker but wow it does work good. Glad I bought it even knowing about these motors and I hear Justin is a pretty good guy to deal with and ask questions.

You will need more race fuel the lower in elevation you go, you might also have to dial down the boost.

I drove it around home (sea level) and went through 5 gallons of 110 race fuel straight. n then switched it over to straight 91 but only could drive like 20 miles cuz of the lack of snow and it got super warm. I got it dialed in at around 4-4.5 psi and it seems to be really spot on. According to Silbers website I should be good to run 91 all the time and turn the boost up to like 7lbs at like 8-10k. You guys think I would be ok doing that?
