Turbo pipe options ?

been told the stock pipe is the way to go..... but if there is another option that will stand up to the boost.... i'd like to know as well!:face-icon-small-ton

I had a slp pipe with the seams reinforced with angle iron. The pipe held up for a while...

ive heard of a lot of ceramic ones being split. Not sure if they are causing it to be more prone or not. just gathering info for my personel choices nothing more. Ive been considering coating mine.. I have about 2200 miles on my pipe @12# with no issues. Mine is not coated

I'll be getting a custom turbo pipe done on my sled in the next few weeks. Going to be logging pipe pressure and power output on a dyno. Going to try some passes at 8lbs., 14lbs. and 18lbs. Going to build the pipe around the rest of the motor and turbo system like it should be built :). I'll post some pics and vids when I get underway.

Why do you ask?

Are ceramic pipes more prone to cracking?

Used pipes after ceramic coating are more prone to cracking than a new or almost new pipe.

Hot and cold cycles seem to have a correlation. Of course someone will say they ceramic coated a 2 year old pipe and didn't have a problem.

I would only do it to a new pipe IF I was ever to do one.
