Turbo or Not Turbo the PRO 2013/2014

Hay fellow powder hounds. I am looking at buying the Polaris RMK Pro 163" 2013 or 2014 and shipping it to Japan. Before it leaves the shores of the USA I was going to throw on a TURBO.

Do you I think it will make that much difference ?

Is there a lot more wear and tear on the engine ?

Does the turbo mean more breakdowns and constant tuning ?

We have a short season in Japan of INSANELY deep pow and unlimited terrain. Please let me know your thoughts.....

If you have a short season I would just leave it stock.

Because IF something went wrong and you needed parts , you could be waiting a couple weeks for them to get to you. Turbo raises this potential.

I havnt personally had any issues, but some people have.
If you have two back up sleds I say go for it there alot of fun

Do it, but make sure you have the best install it for you.

If you have the backup sleds i would say go for it 100%. The new kits are so much simpler bolt on and go compared to turbo's of old. but stuff can break, things can go wrong and being able to still get out and ride is key!

You can get great mileage out of the motors before rebuilding. The power is VERY fun.

Do you have access to any octane of fuel beyond standard pump grade easily? Also, what kind of elevation do you ride at?

IMO - DO IT.

The new turbo stuff is amazing. I literally installed mine after i got off work then rode it the next day trouble free. The Boondocker box runs so consistent; the EBC keeps your clutching dialed .... more so than a stock sled if you think about it. Based on the ski videos i've seen you are probably in some tight trees, correct? If so i'd spring for the Tial housing. the transient response it AMAZING with it. i have a 600 and it feels like riding a big bore 800; loads of torque
