Ok, there is NOT ENOUGH FRIGGIN SNOW on the ground and none coming anytime soon, I've got a new '12 Summit 800 X Etec 163" with less than a hundred miles on it taking up space in my garage. And since I can't ride the damn thing without going 1500 miles north, I started gandering at the turbo thread and wondered just how many different manufacturers make turbo kits? It would appear I will have all winter to install one. Cheers...
 
Nice tree bashing in the 2nd vid scottbilt95, I could smell the pine through the computer screen, awesome.:face-icon-small-hap Looks like some good running turbo etecs, tough choice to make.
 
Nobody seems to have the real story as to why BD has not shipped any kits.. already mid Jan... sad to see since they campaigned it so hard at the fall snow shows etc.. ?
 
We have shipped hundreds of the E-Tec kits and are currently out of stock. More kits are in production and will begin shipping again next Friday 1-20-2012. This week has been a very productive for us as we have been testing with BRP engineers. Wish we had better snow but testing must continue. If you are interested in a kit let us know. We also have Tyler in Utah giving demo rides and if you are interested please have your dealer contact us.

Any plans on making a cold air intake for your turbo kits? What kind of hp would I see running 4-5 lbs. boost at 8000-10000 ft. on an 800 etec?
 
a 2012 stock etec does 50mph track speed at 7800 feet, aero charger will see 65mph with a deeper lug track at same elevation at 4.5 lbs or pump fuel

Im running a 2011 154. I like the size for the trees, but I am worried about ski lift. I would also like more traction. I am thinking the new 156x3" would give me enough traction for a lower boost sled, but am I going to have a prayer keeping the front end down with a stock rear skid?
 
I have two 154 with arowerchargera on them one is 7pounds and one is 5 pounds the o e running 5 pounds is more liner in. The trees but the one at 7 is not mutch different. I ride the snoweys and sierras 8-12000 feet. The one at 5 still runs plenty good. In my opinion there is not a big bore around that would run with one at 5 at this elevation. We manely ride trees. I have a 09 that just sits in the grudge.

Brad, could you fill us in as to what your testing with BRP? I don't like the sentence that states " we have sold 100's of kits and are currently testing" don't get me wrong here, not bashing..... Just looking for more info on the Etec and I am actually on the Aero wagon again for the Etec as I see it's the only kit that's "working" I'd sell my Garrett if I knew more :)
 
My buddy has an aerocharger with an intercooler that we ran out in colorado a week or two ago he started at 6 pounds and was running about 8 at the end of the trip and that thing ripped, hung right with my silber turbo pro at 10 pounds. He had about 250 miles on it and was running the 154. It ran real good after he talked to the aerocharger guys to make a couple of fuel controller adjustments.

I was not there all week (been very sick) and only got updates every night. The testing started with Felker Motorsports on Sunday and then BRP on Monday-Thursday, today was with ZBROZ. Testing included the follow areas Clutching, Gearing, Front end width, Front shocks, Rear skids, rear shocks, Handle bar position, new billet Blow off Valve and springs, Vacuum free air box, Track Trimming, Traction, Turbine size, Turbine housing porting, Compressor housing porting, pipe tuning, RAVE control and timing, Fuel settings, Ignition timing, Seat height, Reeds, handle bars, Snow flap, Pipe tuning, Y-Pipes, side dump, Cylinder porting, and I am sure I missed something, Basically we were testing for the RMSHA team and how to improve consumer products. I hope we have lots of pictures and video but we will have to wait until the crew returns. The testing showed the 600cc E-Tec to be very strong. We ended up turning the boost down to 8psi from the 10psi we had it set at. I hear the 600 is running with the 800’s. Not all testing went as planned and some of the great ideas turned out to not be so great. Other ideas went better than planned. I will get Andrew to fill in some of the details when he returns. Please keep in mind we are in a competitive market and race circuit so we cannot tell everything we learn but we can make it part of our kits. Let me know what you would like to hear more details on.
