Im trying to install my push G kit and I was needing some help. Im trying to put the fuel pressur regulator in and am having trouble geting the 15/16 nut off that holds the fuel pump to the tank. It just keeps turning. any ideas besides jam a screwdriver in the inside of the threaded piece?

just turn it out.

It should just turn out it is threaded in to the pump .

SDC, Just installed the same kit, and had no problem with that nut, it unscrewed easy. Maybe it is stripped. Did you buy your kit from MM? Kevin has helped me alot. I have mine installed but no snow to try it. Am going to travel to find some. Runs really good in shop, but need snow. I think maybe I will need more weight in clutch, have 78G, turns over 9 with no sputter on 92 oct with no ethenol. Saw up to 12 lbs boost, but could only give it wot for a second or two. Sounds really good. Good luck... Dave....:face-icon-small-coo

Mine just sits and turns. I'm guessing its stripped out. I've turned it for at least 5 min and its only loose so I think its just stripped. Any ideas? Might just have to drill a hole in the treaded portion and put a screw driver in to help bust it loose and just jb weld the threaded part back in to the pump portion.

ok so now i have the pump out and the stock regulator out and going to install an ovs regulator. any help on what needs to be modified to make it work with the little plug and spring for their kit.

Use a cutoff wheel and cut the back off the stock regulator about an 1/8th inch in and clean it all up. Then just put the aluminum adjuster on the spring and install in the housing. You may also have to drill out the 1/8th inch hole they put in for boost reference with a 5/16 and tap it with a 1/8th inch npt thread but it may already be done for you.

Why did you go with the OVS regulator instead of using the Push regulator? If you didn't want to use the in-tank Push regulator I am surprised you didn't go with the OVS external FPR.

I purchases a used kit from a member on here and they switched because of some of the bdx regulators were dropping pressure after a while.
