turbo fuel pump questions

Just hoping someone can help me out with what I would need to switch my older (2009) external ovs fuel pump and 2:1 (I think) fpr on my 2007 M8T. Also wondering if this upgrade worth while to do if the external pump is still working. I am mainly looking at upgrading so I can upgrade my fuel system to boost-it. unless I can just swap out my 2:1 for a 1:1 and keep running the external pump....:face-icon-small-con...help

Yea man just swap your reg to the 1:1 reg from the twisted kit you have on your 2007...That bosch is as good as any of them... Then put your 2;1 reg on your 2007 and put your Pure Logic Box from your 2009 on your 2007 and you will be good to go without spending any $$$$$$$

fuel pump

Twisted uses a good in tank high output pump,I also had the inline pump as well as the stock pump then switched to the single high out pump, one of the reason for doing that was to reduce the electrical demand.I just ordered a xic from boost it and am going to run the reg from ovs i believe it is a two to one, niel said it would be fine.

Thanks for all the good info everyone,
Tony are you running this regulator in the same configuration as the old OVS rising rate? and I noticed the pressure range is quite small, does it give you enough psi once you come onto boost? or am I looking at this the wrong way?

Snowedunder I thought the boost-it box worked based on a 1:1 ratio, My understanding was the same as yours, the OVS (holly) regulator is a rising rate (2:1) maybe Neil is lurking and could clear this up.

I just had my M1000 done by Boost-it and he just left my OVS fuel regulator on.He says it will work fine.

Yes the same config, actually, i believe this is the one ovs uses now. Its advertised range is the starting non boost setting. When boost is applied it increases the pressure accordingly. I think my initial is 38-39 and at 15 it hovers around 53-55 too hard to be accurate while holding on...lol

Boondockers has a very very clean set up. Its an in tank high out put fuel pump that goes in the place of the stock fuel pump. You will need there little relay with transformer to up the votage to the pump that plugs right in. Then there is a cap that goes over the top of the fuel pressure regulator that will increase fuel pressure 1 to 1. So every pound of boost you build the fuel pressure will go up 1 more pound.
I would send boondockers your stock fuel pump and fuel pick up lines and have them put the HO fuel pump on, let them test it for you and have them send it all back to you.
Its a very clean set up and I found it works well!!!
