Turbo differences

Why do some kits run 2860, some 2871? What is the difference? Also will a T16 like MCXpress uses compete with the 28's? Riding a turbo but do not know a whole lot about them!

What about the 2554, 2560, 19t, gt30 and so on. Really its all about efficiency and what you want to run for power and response.

The 16t will compete but i think the 28 would be better if you were staying in the higher boost numbers. The 28 effiecency rating is alittle higher.

So does one spool faster or have less lag between the 16T, 2871,2860. Just wondering since I have a 2860 on my Apex and I was thinking MCXpress on my Nytro and they use a 16T. I usually run 12-16 lbs.

I have the MCX on my Nytro and you won't even discuss lag after you ride it. I have had 2 MCX Apexes and there is no comparison in throttle response. I still don't have a problem with the response of the MCX Apex and wouldn't hesitate to run one but the Nytro setup is noticeably more responsive.
