Turbo Apex, Boondocker gt25. I believe the rev limiter cuts off @ 11,200. max rpm's been running 11,020. When spooled up between 13-16 lbs boost the turbo is cutting in & out very frequently! Wrong clutch weights, any ideas out there Yami bros? Would really appreciate the feedback.

Don't totally trust the tach. 11,000 on the tach could easily be 11,200 in reality. With those boost levels you probably want to be in the 80 gram range, give or take a bit, for primary weight. You probably already know this but don't try to clutch it on hardpack.

What do you mean by cutting in and out? When it cuts in and out is it popping, or does the sled feel like it just flat lines and has no power? If its popping and hitting 11200 then i would say your banging off the rev limiter. How many grams you running? What weights do you have.I have power quest and run 86 grams with most my weight in the toe and shock wave out two turns some times two and a half with 15 pounds boost.Or you could have a small boost leak some where if the sleds just falling on its face.

You probably don't want to be over 10600 rpm anyway. Have you check your clutch rollers and bushings? I had a buddy that smoked a roller and the sled was falling on its face, but not all of the time...kinda strange.

I would agree that you need to get the RPM's down in order to insure that it is not simply the rev limiter. 10,300 to 10,800 range I personally am totally happy with 10,500 you are not losing much if any torque by not going to 11,000 plus and you really risk hitting the rev limiter.

Then if you are still having an issue go from there.

I had one of my boots from the innercoller to the "carb" (fuel injected Apex) that I forgot to tighten and it would spool up to 14 lbs but just did not have the power I was used to I really took the time to make sure every connection was secure and now it runs like crazy again! And I can make as much boost as I want to, right now I am running about 17-18 lbs.

Thanks for the help

Thanks or all the help out there. I definately agree on the rpm range. Going to add more grams on the primary. Running @ 80 now but must be the problem. I believe it's hitting the rev limiter, spooling down for the rpm's to drop, then jumping back up again until it hits the rev limiter again. It's only doing it when I really get on the gas hard. Been running 70/30 mix of 114 and 91. Didn't think that was the problem. Thanks for your help out there. We'll see what happens:-)
