Guys in Cali have been doing that for years. It wouldn't surprise me if you could find one already built, used........Goodluck!
Maybe just a summer trip to the dunes with an empty truck and you could come home with one.
engine would be a nightmare to keep on boost and in the power all the time. I think a CR 500 or KX 500 turbo would have a lot more bottom end torque to help get the turbo spinning and run out good on top, Plus a lot lighter. Banshee would sound good though, Love mine and will just keep improving it as time goes on.
These engines used to make a good 70 hp in stock trim on the RD 350 street bike with very little work they do 80 HP without the vibrations of the big singles.
I could be happy with a set of smart carbs and 75 to 80 HP
The problem as always is weight and size -- hard to beat the 450s -- what I would really like is a supercharger with a solid 65 to 70 hp at altitude now we are talking loved the supercharger on my sled would be even better on the donkey
It will not be easy--probably driving it straight of the clutch side gears with a custom cover - or maybe the Ignition side both will take a minimum of a custom cover and some type of gear drive I don't think the crank could handle driving of the end of the Ignition side like on a sled.
