Tunnel Dump S/c Nytro Exhaust

Anyone Running This? Or No If This Would Work? Had One On My Alpine Vector And Loved It.. Was Thinking It Would Be A Great Route As It Would Loose The Most Weight In Terms Of Exhaust...plus I Would Rather Put A Doo Style Jerry Set-up Behind Seat I Think Then A New Tank... With The Jerry Your Stock Gauges Are Still Accurate And Then If You Run Out You Still Got Enough To Get Home.

Anyone Who Is Running New Tanks, Do The Gauges Work Very Well???
I Hate Not Haveing Any Idea And Always Guessing
Thanks Guys

We tried a couple different tunnell dump options on the SC Nytro and I did not feel the additional noise and performance loss would warrant the tunnell dump. You would need to do a muffler of some sort to keep the backpressure properties. In order to run additional fuel tanks on the back, just get the GYT Yamaha turnout and you will be fine.

so with the s/c u need backpressure.. i was told that the less backpressure on a 4stroke the better???

thanks for the insight

Backpressure is important on a 4 stroke. Not as important as a 2 stroke, where it is vital. Most 4 stroke motors will run 60-70% power with no pipe at all, whereas a 2 stroke wouldn't hardly move with no expansion chamber. What we saw more than backpressure issues was snowpack plugging the exhaust, we tried it both angled fore and aft, with miserable results both ways. On the hardpack it worked great, but you drop into the powder and the power would just drop. Also you need to dump in the front of the tunnel at an angle like the Apex. The Nytro exhaust is a bit different, especially with the supercharger so it is best to exit it like stock.

turbos add back pressure because its on the exaust, super is driven by the motor no back pressure so it loud, turbo acts like a muffler.

There has to be a way to run that exhaust under the tunnel. I use a doo jerry can and it would be awesome to be able to slide it all the way under the seat. It really messes up the great handling of this sled having 3.5 gallons on the very back of the tunnel. Someone has to have something working.

It's a four stroke!!! You don't need extra gas.I ride a s/c nytro and run all day on 1 tank of fuel a day, all year. And that's running 12 lbs of boost!!!!! I came close to running out 1 day all year. Some one will always have extra gas if you needed it.

I've ran out every trip and had to bum fuel for my T Nytro after adding my 3 gal. Tired of the small tank and need the bigger tank and exhaust turnout. I will deal with it till end of season but there will be changes before fall. Yamaha dropped the ball on the crappy suspension and kiddy fuel tank. Makes the aftermarket dudes happy. Rest of sled is awesome. 2000k and still just turning the key at 12psi
