Does anyone know if all the kits use the same shock or are you model dependent? I am trying to go from a cr500 to ktm sxf with linkage they are saying I have to buy a new shock?

They have a really cool function that was added to the website. You can go to this link:

http://www.timbersled.com/en-us/install-kits

Select Parts from the drop down menu.

Then it will walk you through your current bike (CR500) and your current Timbersled setup. Next you will input all the same information for your new (KTM) setup and it will actally give you the parts list of items that you will need to change.

One is not the shock......

What year is your CR500? What year and model is your KTM? What Timbersled are you running? Let me know and Ill double check.

Going from 1997 cr500 to 2014 ktm 450sxf it does not list the shock on the website... Thank you... Why I went to the dealer is I use a 2006 crf450 front fork to complicate things ...

The fork is no problem........if you have just a minute measure your shock center to center, that is all the info I would need.

Hare you giving up on the cr?
Yep unfortunately... Loved the bike but I ride at 10,000 feet so I lost a lot... Going turbo ktm this year ... I figure longer gears with the "2 stroke zip at the end".. we will see it is at kms currently to be dyno tuned and sent back... It will also have the bored throttle body, cnced head, big bore and turbo rekluse .. basically it was the owners bike and I added the turbo...

So I bought a used 2014 timbersled that I am putting on a 2002 kx 500. So it has a tss fit kit and it came of a 2016 kx 450f. And when I fill everything in on that website link it says I need a new float shock....?

I sent a pm... I will let you know what I find... Let me know what yours measures ...eye to eye

We're you able to check on this... Still having a hell of an issue confirming what they say on the timbersled website... I really appreciate it...

Thanks for this link, I can finally get the parts I need. What does FKR Sub Frame L/S In, stand for? Is it left side bushing? Or is it one of the strut bushings? I don't need the actual bushings on the swing arm if that is what it is.
