TSS-how many pumps does this thing take?

So, I deflated the TSS to get the chain on (we'll see how the countershaft fares), and I'm at less than 1/2 pound per pump on the reinflate. 400+ pumps to get to 200 psi, and I'm pooped. Tomorrow I'll get it to 250# where it should be. Thinking I might need a floor pump...

It's a good workout, that's for sure. I use an air compressor with an adjustable regulator. Turn it down to about 50 lbs and then increase as needed and then fine tune with the hand pump. Make sure you have a regulator so you do not damage the shock.

I'm not sure how the heavy guys will ever get pumped up the pump they send only goes to 300 psi

It takes forever. I did the same thing then pumped it back up to 300

400 more pumps (I counted) and I'm at 265#. So, 800-ish to get there? That's a little crazy. I took weight off the track, but all that seemed to do was start me at lower PSI.

Are you going through the last little bit of the stroke? where it gets really hard? I push it till it touches then hold it there, less strokes to pump up.

Yup. Making sure to get that last little bit where it goes through the valve.

I had mine set at 200 because my chain was so tight. After I rode it a little bit today my chain loosened up so I pumped it up to 250/260 and it only took 4 or 5 pumps.

Huh. It literally took me 200 pumps to get from 200 to 260, and I was definitely squeezing all the air out of the pump.

It did that to me in the garage for some reason too. I thought maybe the chain was holding it from taking more air. Worked on the hill today though after the chain loosened up.

8 pumps to get to 200 PSI.
I rode hard 1 day on new TSS with 200 PSI and the suspension felt great!
the indicator o ring was at 1 1/4" Im 220LB with gear.
