TSS comes out with a etec turbo with air to water

we were out with them around a month ago and they were trying to dial in their etec turbo, seen some real low charge temps with their air to water setup built into the airbox

lilttle info from their kit, and i know because i seen them teting it, and it looked good climbing, they were dialing in the boost it box the day i seen them

selling the air to water airbox independently for other kits as well, he said today it will work with the aero kit...1200$$

laminova cores are not cheap. they do work very good though. Looks like a very nice setup.
I have ben thinking of putting a water to air intercooler in right below the headlights infront of the steering post. I will have to look into maybee building a different air box with laminova cores in it. sled ran good enough last year that I am not to worried about doing it. It would be nice though. :face-icon-small-coo

Hmm, I disagree. For $1200 you can buy a ball bearing turbo. Way more precision parts and tight tolerances.

Its a nice idea, and probably works great, but I wouldn't spend that kinda money on one...

$1200 for the water/air airbox combo! Get ready to bendover...

Seriously? Why do you think paying for a quality part that takes time and money to build/r&d, is getting bent over? The Micku's put alot of time and real world testing into their products. I'm sure when they decided to go into business, their plan wasn't to break even instead of turning a profit. My $0.02. :face-icon-small-dis

$1200 sounds about right. Pump, cores, keep full chamber, fab, misc parts. Not too mention the R&D it takes too make it work correctly. I know Ive got over $1200 into my water/air intercooler setup on the Doo if I count my time at anything at all.

Im pumped these guys are working on boosted Doo's, this should help elevate us too the next level.

Are they hooking into the stock coolant system or are they using the front cooler/exchanger and dedicating it to the air/water setup? If so, how are they blocking it off? Lastly, how many amps does their pump pull?

Looks interesting... good post.

front cooler, my buddy just bought a complete sled from TSS ,neat system, clean and well worth the money for mountain guys.

i had concerns the day we rode with dave and kyle that with the low snow on the rd for the first few miles, it would over heat, but they drove up with out stoping, and i was running on the hot side, with out the dedicated bulk head exchanger

i know their is others building similar boxes as we speak, and looking at ebay, they could be easy to make, but you gottta give the mickus credit for being first to have it with their kits
