TS snow check program

So has anyone gone to their timbersled dealer about snowchecking a 2017 kit yet? I was seeing if anyone was getting any more of a discount of if the price is set by timbersled. I know you could always get a deal on snow checked sleds but this would be my first bike kit.

I'm looking at getting a RAW kit and putting it on a 14 yz450f. Any must have accessories I need to order? So far I'm thinking some type of thermostat, an engine shroud, hand guards and heated grips.

Here are some suggestions that I would have for you.

Find a dealer who is close or local.

Find a dealer who has set up a bunch of kits.

Find a dealer who rides.

Find a dealer who stocks parts. When it is Thursday night and you need hyfax or an idler sprocket watcha gonna do?

Now for some needed parts.

Powersports Tech engine jackets are the best I have found and they are a necessity in deep colder conditions.

Thermostat is a must.

Good handguards are a must. Everybody has their favorite, but you need a wrap around style with metal inserts for bashing off of trees and saving levers.

Ill catch some flack for this, but I think a Rekluse clutch is a must. It makes riding a snowbike a much better experience.

Handwarmers are hit and miss. I have had the best luck with AME. Another thing I have found out.....I have a set of handwarmers in a box that I got for my bike. I though that I would wait and see if I really needed them before installing. I carry a set of gauntlets in my pack and have put them over my handguards a couple times, but only one time for about 10 minutes have I wished I handwarmers this year.

Proper fork setup is important.

Crankcase breather tube routing/filtering is important.

Chain tension and care is important.

Yes

I think T-sled is pretty tight on pricing leaving their dealer network. I have asked a couple buddies why they don't just blow out the leftover 15 kits...... He said they CAN'T, or he would..... must be in the fine print...

That's what I figured. I noticed everyone was pretty much the same price on carryover units.

My dilemma is that I have a dealer close by but they don't really set up many bikes and don't carry a lot of parts for sleds let alone snowbike kits. There are other dealers in the area that sell more kits but it would be 2 hours or more to go pick it up and I would have to order any parts I need.

I had planned on most of those parts besides the rekluse. What about skid plates and radiator supports? I've heard people recommend them as well.
