Hello everyone!

Newbie from Alberta here... just picked up my '16 timbersled and I am interested in what gas can I can use to fit the supplied location with strap since I was told TS doesn't include them anymore?

Also, what kinda gear should I be thinking about? already have the sno-X helmet and am looking at FXR onsie with Forma adventure boots... any suggestions on gear is appreciated!

Mountain Addiction is the can that fits. I was under the impression they were included, so I'd check on that. They're not cheap.

As far as riding gear, you sound like you're fine. I assume you have avy gear, since you can get yourself in a world of hurt in a hurry on these toys. There are a bunch of threads here about accessories. You can go bone stock and you can also go nuts.

Accessory jug

Timbersled is not supplying the Accessory jug, aka.. spare gas can anymore as it is not certified. We have all being using these gas cans for years, but the manufacturer has never sought to get them certified, hence Polaris will not allow TS to supply them anymore.

As the TS Dealer for Revelstoke, we are supplying our customers with the spare gas can at the time of purchase. I just received my order of Mountain Addiction gas cans yesterday.

If your Dealer is not supplying then you should be able to purchase them direct at Mountain Addiction on-line.

Cheers

My understanding is with Polaris involvement the gas cans are no longer included because of export restrictions.

I hope they throw one in because when I snow checked it was clearly stated u got one. Not that the 50 gas can will kill me but it's the idea it was listed as part of the deal. I would hope timbersled gives u something to make up for it.

The really good dealers are ordering you one and just putting it with your kit. The OK dealers are giving you a refund for the price of a gas can and you need to pick one up from Mountain Addiction directly. Cost is $75 plus shipping.

I ordered 2 of the 1.3 gal cans. That's a win for Me!

I ordered 2 of the 2 1.3 gal cans from First place Parts. 2 Cans for $70. Added a little more and I got free shipping. 2.6 gal makes more sense to me I am already carrying up to 3.4 in the tank. I like the Idea of just wrestling 1.3 Gallons of fuel at a time. So thank you Polaris that's a win for Me.:face-icon-small-coo

After talking to Toby the other day I am kind of wishing I didn't order a tank for my SX. I just might have to pick up a better mounting system later. It just would have been cheaper to buy the tank for 70 bucks not 140 or whatever it was. Apparently it mounts sideways and is wider than the tunnel on the SX.

I've also been kind of interested in the flat cans that stack on your tunnel, but haven't looked into sizes yet. Could still strap a bag on top of them.

2015 and 2016 LT&ST don't use Can Rails.

The Mountain Addition Can mounts are $69 + Can.
I just ordered the 2 1.3 gal cans to go in integrated TS gas Rack on ST & LT's

I used the Rota-Pax Flat 1.75 Gal can on my TS 2013 ST and Made A 7075 Aluminum Mount that went on Sub Frame. That Would over hang over an SX Kit. The mount I made would not work with TSS or the SX Kit. I like the Roto-Pax Can Set-up. A roto-pax set-up will cost at least $80 for 1.75 Gal. You would have to move it toward the rear to get it to clear your rear fender unless you trimmed it. :face-icon-small-sho

Hey thanks for the input! Do you know if 2 will fit in the TS mount at once? I'm thinking the 2 side by side might give me a little more clearance for my TSS fender travel

Dimensions from Mountain Addition Web Site sejust they fit.

Have not tried it but its the same as there Small combo kit.

Dimensions from Mountain Addition Web Site implies they fit with room to spare for a little can expansion.

Utility Jug dimensions are:
1.3 gallon jug = 9.75″ L x 6″ W x 9″ H
3.3 gallon jug = 9.75″ L x 13″ W x 9.5″ H

Thanks dude! The dealership wanted $110 for one... wasn't gonna have that, I think $110 for a tiny jerry can is outrageous.

thanks for the help everyone, will be ordering mountain addictions!:biggrin1:
