It looks like a SLP can that is on the website which is why I am worried. I have about 1800 miles on it and there aren't any cracks on it but I know they don't have a good reputation for lasting very long.
If it looks like that and it has a little plate welded to it with the numbers stamped on it, it is probably an SLP. Mine has some number stamped on it that do not coincide to the part number on the website. Might be some kind of code about when it was made. Check the top for cracks after every ride and don't worry about it. There are plenty of guys running them without problems. I'm not one of them but they are out there...
Thanks. I'm pretty sure it's an SLP. It was put on by the dealer when it was bought new by previous owner. I think they own stock in SLP because that's about all they push for cans. A friend that bought an Assault there had the can crack on it and it was SLP. Went to MPRP and hasn't had a problem since. A little louder but only when the nose is out of the snow. I've been keeping an eye on it since I bought it because I knew they had some problems with the cans.
