alright winding down on gettin my beast to start, got 2 questons as i begin to plumb my boost lines.

for fuel pressure, where do i need to get my boost reference from? airbox or the nipple after the carbs?

also, in theory stock jetting with boost reference FPR should work right? it was setup good for my elevation already, so that should in theory supliment it correctly?

Get your boost reference post carbs. What elevation are you riding? I had really good luck on my old rx1ton with 127.5 mains 8-10K ft. Set your static fuel pressure to 3-4 psi with the 1:1 fpr.

i ride 4-8k mainly.... i want to say i had have 135's or something close, ill open em up and check tonight. and i got my 1:1 reg, ill set her at about 4 as that seems to be the number that comes up most.

but basically all i wanted to know is the jetting is usually nothing crazy, stock or close to?

I am not all that familiar with the turbo setup, but I am running a stage 1 supercharger on an RX1. I am pretty sure that my jetting is down in the 117.5 range and I am running a red Holtzman CV carb slide spring. I would have to look where my needles are set. I ride roughly in the 8-12k range. I am still tuning as I am a little rich off the bottom and way rich coming off the throttle hard. I am hoping that a blow-off valve will solve the throttle dump problem.

I pick up my boost off of the rider side of the carbs rubber hose manifold. I just put a T on the end instead of an elbow. It was easier than modifying the airbox and my sensor is well protected. MPI takes their boost off the airbox from what I have seen.

I would suggest giving Trey Lokey at High Altitude Boost a call at 719-539-3989. He was a huge help to me and very patient. You may have to leave a message, but he will get back to you.

i think i may give a ring to some of lepheimer yamaha in butte, MT, he has lots of info, i already spent some $$ with him and im in butte more then enough.

just remeber... im running my max elevation at your lowest, so thats something to think about.... i might be rich, and heck, maybe im retarted and havent remebered my jets correctly.. off a bowl comes to figure it out!!

haha... YUP. rich is definately safer... and i see your from washington, so your running similar elevation to me. SO im thinkin ill stick to the jetting thats in it, fire it up run it, and just keep an eye on A/F gauge and see where she stands. I want to be set to run great from 4-6k 6+ and im not all that worried, I dont make it up that high to often. like a wise man once said... "whats 5 horse when you got 250?!"

and i learned my leason on blowing motors... leaner is meaner, until they blow up, im airing on the safe side from now on! 4 strokes are a little more $$$ then 2 strokes to rebuild!

Different types of manifolds will not all work with the same jetting sizes. I used to run 127.5 and built a new style 4 into 1 manifold that is so much more efficient that it's still lean with 145 jets. Get it running and see what you have for a/f readings and adjust from there. Make sure you get that running so you can bring it up for the grass drags here in Great Falls on Sept 19-20.

thanks for the heads up on header..

my custom header is so perfect that i will prolly have to run 200's/// but really now, i will just start it and see where she goes, i was just curious.

and i done think its going to the grass drags... got a lot of work to get done, and maverick tracks dont like grass. mines starting to look like an asphalt track!
