i have been thinking about the Trukke boots because i like the easy system to do them up...to many laces on Klim..lol...anyone have these boots and like them or hate them..??..are they light..??..im looking at their tall boot

I have had them for about 5 years and really like them. However last year my feet started to get wet everytime I rode so the water proofing must have wore out or something. The best part about them is once you set the straps up you can just slip them on/off. They don't offer much ankle support though so if you need that you might want to look at something else. I want a little more ankle support this time so I am going to buy Klim boots, if I didn't need that I would definitely buy them again.

I've had a pair for a few years now and same thing, the waterproofing isn't what it once was. My dad and brother had them also and after a year they came apart, so I don't know if I'm just lucky or if they got the lemons. But I'm happy with them, I'm going to try some waterproofing spray and see if it helps.

the rubber broke down after the off season in my garage and split...with no weird exposeure to sun, chemicals and the like....clips broke on the previous pair....in my opinion theyre gunk...expensive junk

I'm with slick willy...make a good boot to work on the sleds in the garage, other than that, not the best! Looking at the Klim boots or HMK. Had a pair of the RU Outside boots (Townsend version) and not happy with those either. Again, I guess you get what you pay for!

Bought a pair of Baffin's, about 10 years ago, best boot I have ever had. Rated for 140 below zero! I would buy another, these just have not worn out yet!!

Do you have a picture of them? I have heard of Baffins before but don't know which would be the best to get.

Thanks
Jim

I've tried Truk, Baffin and Klim. In my opinion, Truk sucked... only wore them once and there they sit in the closet. Owned 2 pairs of Baffin, loved them but the second pair wasn't constructed as good and I needed better support for my foot. I've just bought a pair of Klim and so far they offer good support but my toes get a little cold, but I figure its a trade off for support and staying dry :face-icon-small-hap

I had them 4 years ago, the tall ones. My feet were "submariners". I could not keep them dry. They do go on and off easy............especially off; the weight of the water in the boot helps to push your foot out:shocked:

Same here, had a pair for several years. Now use for shovelling snow. Feet were always wet, guess I kept waring them because of the comfort.

I like the Klim Adrenaline boot. Put lace 'sliders' on them and are easier to put on and take off now. You know, the plastic things that you push the button and slide up and down the laces, like what's on a pack or helmet cover lace ...
