Truckboss Mounting Feet

I was not happy with the way the feet sat in the bed of my truck so I designed these plates to be mounting to the bed first. Thought I would see if anyone else was interested in a set... Was thinking the plates would be around $100 for a set. I had to get $25 worth of hardware to install as well.

The plate is 0.500" aluminum that is water jet cut. The standard mounting holes are aligned in the plate and then drilled and tapped 1/4-20. The plate is carriage bolted permanently to the truck.

The plate spreads the load out and really allows to use the adjustment bolts to crank the deck up and down.

I have a question on your sled boss. do you have to disassemble the whole deck to remove from the truck?

No. You have a couple options when removing it. One removes everything, one leaves a couple rails still attached. Either way you can have it off in 1-2 hours and the entire beds stays together. Eric

Is this a ford you have it mounted on? Those base plates wouldnt fit on my 14 chevy and the 14&15 dodge I have installed them in dont even have room for the stock base plate without hitting the curved spot of the box. Eric

06 GMC. Thats a bummer. Foot mounting is one of the only downfalls to the deck it seems.

I dont even run the support legs on my truck, No problems after 40 days of riding last year and 20 days so far this year. Eric

Ratchet Cargo Straps

Any one using ratcheting cargo straps instead of bolting the sled deck into the truck bed? I've seen posts using turnbuckles and chain but I'm thinking the straps might be stronger.
