Occam's Razor is a scientific/philosophical precept and is the basis of the K.I.S.S. principle. Occam (Ockham)was a monk who lived in the 1300's and was one of the early predecessors of the Renaissance. His original quote was in Latin and applied to mathematics when he penned it but over the centuries it has been broadly applied to science and philosophy and come to mean, generally:

When faced with multiple possible solutions to a problem, the simplest is usually the most correct

I mention this because
1) The 2013/14 season is pretty much over
2) I'm a history nerd
3) There's an unceasing line of threads all asking the same questions about "Why won't my sled run?"

SO, HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO TROUBLESHOOTING?
Easy. If we make Occam sled specific then the Razor can be restated

When trying to figure out why your sled doesn't run right, start with the simplest things first

Also (Pro-Tip) if you're going to dig deep into something you have never done before TAKE PICTURES AS YOU DISASSEMBLE. Just sayin'...

Wise words. My old man always taught me to start with the least expensive possibility first when trouble shooting. Unfortunately, for some, when tools are involved, simplicity has long left. 550iq

Compression. Spark. Fuel. What it takes to fire a 2S, and keep it running. Everything else pivots from these three.

Personally i would say Timing, spark, fuel. But that's just my opinion.
