Trouble Shooting my ECU/Main Harness Problem?

I'm looking to find someone in the Flathead Valley area of Montana that has a 2007 M8 in Kalispell, Whitefish, Columbia Falls who will be willing to help me swap ECU's temporarily, so I can determine my problem. It's either my main harness or it's the ECU. I lost the sled sidehilling and it hit a tree downhill and crushed the front end. After the accident I road the sled all the way back to the trailer, stopping and starting it around four times. Got the sled back together and fired it up but died to or three times. Started it again and it ran for five minutes before I shut it off. Now I can't get any spark at all. I did notice that the bottom half of the black housing of the small plug that goes into the ECU is broke off, but still clips in to the ECU nice and firm. I hate to throw parts at this sled without knowing what to replace. If anyone knows how to diagnos this problem, please chime in. Thanks, Mike

Just a warning, a wiring problem could have fried your ECU, and if someone plugs their's into your sled, it may fry theirs too. Try and get a voltmeter and read resistances to see if you have a short.

Testing The ECU?

OK! This is what I found out. You can bring your ECU to your local Arctic Cat Dealer and they can send it to the AC factory to be reflashed at no charge. This means the factory will reprogram the ECU for all it's operations that it's responible for. If it can't be reflashed, then it's trash! I will find out Monday or Tuesday whether it is my ECU or it's something else! That's all I know right now!
