Trouble Shoot 96 ZR 580 ??? Help

I have a 96 Arctic Cat ZR 580 EFI with the 121" track. The motor runs strong, it will turn the clutch and the clutch will grap the belt, but it wont turn the track. It acts as if there is somthing slipping in the mechanism that goes from the clutch to the part that turns the track. Obviously not very knowledgable on these things. Any help would be killer.

Thanks

If the clutch spins and does not bind my money is on a broken drive chain. The opposite side where the clutches are on the motor toward the base where the cowl ends will be the chain case. I would place a bucket under the belly pan and open it up and have a look. My guess you now have a long piece and not a chain.

Check key on the secondary clutch. Had a 96 Powder Extreme. Would have had the same chaincase etc. Broke two driveshafts behind the sprocket while I owned it. If the key and chain are OK check the track driveshaft.

I think those guys covered it. It is most likely something wrong in the chain case.
