Trip meter reset on XP

Has anybody else experienced the trip meter resetting after you start the sled after killing the motor? I had that happen to me, while annoying it didn't affect the performance of the sled! Has anyone heard of a fix?

Mine does it once or twice a day. I haven't really paid too much attention to it. I've heard it's a magnet or something coming loose in the back. I'll get it fixed someday, but I'm not too worried about it right now.

same thing. Mine resets a couple times a day.
More concerened about hand warmers right now.
I sure hope they get some soon.

I have the updated ones. I will talk to the dealer regarding the trip meter later this week.

Thanks for the reminder. Mine is does the same thing. Only the trip meter...odometer seems to be rolling along fine. My sled is at the dealer right now to address a few issues...handwarmers, belt, clutching, oil adjustment, track rubbing and they are welding up the driveshaft. I just called and they are going to take a look at the guage also. Specialty Recreation in Coeur d Alene Idaho Rocks!

I'm just getting my XP broke in ( late start this year), but i've got to get the oil adjusted as well. I burned through a full tank of oil ( almost a whole bottle of Amsoil Dominator!) in one tank of gas!!! No wonder I can't hit peak R's

Gotta get this thing adjusted!

Mine does the same thing. Its a great sled to ride in the deep snow but all the liitle things going wrong is starting to wear on me.

mine does it if i leave it on the trip meter..if i change it to hrs it continues to read correct when ever i ck it...no matter how many times i shut it down..

I think that's what mine's been doing also. I just noticed it last ride, because I had it on the hr meter the whole ride, and when I got back and checked it it had 42 miles on it. I know it reset the 1st time we stopped, but then I put it on the hr meter, and didn't check it again till we were done.

Do you really need to know how far you got towed back? Or is it so you know how many belts or sets of hot grips you went through in a day??

Have The Same Problem. When I Play With The Hand Warmers From Low To High, It Resets My Trip A, My Trip B Stays The Same. Havent Had It Looked At Yet Though.
