Trimming Rails??

Ok so i am slapping a 162" power claw track, new Avid 7t anti rachet drivers and new iceage 163 rails under my edge. I need to trim my rails but not sure how much needs to be trimmed off the front of the rails.

I have researched the forum and have seen anywhere from 1" - 1.75". Does anyone know for sure how much material needs to be trimmed in order for the rails to not hit the drivers??

Any help or info is much appreciated!!

If they are new rails why didnt you order them pre-cut for anti ratchets ? Cut the rail down to where the limiter strap bolts on the rails leave like a little material in front of the hole where the bolt goes through then get an ant stab kit and bolt it on in place of the original limiter rod. Make sure you deburr the edges of the rails after you cut them.

Do you have any pictures to post? Would like to see how it turned out with new rails. I am thinking about replacing the rails on my vertical escape. It has a 162" 2.25" Challenger on it.

It didn't cross my mind to get them pre cut from Iceage until i received them. I got everything ready to go including the anti stab kit, just wasn't sure home much material I had to cut off. thanks for the info.
