Trees... help!

Ok....if I am not too hated here and banned before tomorrow.... :eek::D ...I need some ideas with watering 20 trees I just planted over the weekend.

I have an acre and I now will have trees all the way around. I am getting tired of watering the trees one by one. I have a canal behind the house/property, but the trees are too high to make a flood gate from the canal to water them. I have a pump from the canal for irrigation that powers sprinklers. Any ideas?

ahhh....can you make a drip system with water coming from a conventional hose?

.

you CAN make anything

Be cheaper to use the black plastic hose designed for drip sytems with a little drip line ran off of it for each tree. You can run them off a conventional hose bib and even get a litte timer unit.

Ditto, used to have a tree farm and the drip sytem works well but look into to using plastic to cover the ground around the trees to hold moisture and to keep weeds away until they fend for themselves.:beer;

My profession currently is sprinkler systems and we would charge like $1500 to do that many trees on an acre but you could do it for like $250 on parts from home depo and a little bit of planning/digging. Honestly it’s the easiest most fun job ever! :D We did a hotel and made $6000 in a week with 4 guys working:rolleyes: Honestly, a 12 year old could do the job if he had a spade, spud bar, and a flat blade screw driver.

Slut, buy those cheap soaker hoses and connect them to reach all the trees, turn them on every night and off in the morning, thats how I keep those 20 pine trees in my back yard going. They grow like crazy. The biggest trick to get trees here in our area to survive our dry summer and hard winter is LOTS of water during the growing season ( I paid attention to the local farmer boys here on the bench) :D
