Tree impales snowmobiler

all i can say is wow thats luck, i thought my braken my leg on my sled was bad

Hey Ollie,
You need to teach that guy your trick for making trees bounce off !

Sure love my B-Wear! B

HOly crap ouch....

Boy if you know about body armor you're just stupid if you ride sleds these days without em. Surprising how many people we run into riding around that don't wear a vest. BEING A RACER has nothing to do with it. Stock sleds run better then full out moddies from five years ago and riders are going and doing stuff way more advanced.

Heard this hundreds of times at sled shows "won't happen to me...I'm not a hardcore rider" DUMB DUMB DUMB

Most people hurt are beginner to intermediate. My BWEAR vest saves me from bumps and bruises every single ride. Saves me from serious injury a least a couple times per season free riding.

I hit some trees last week when I wnet off trail (wreck)
This could happen so easy! Be safe!!

Getting impaled was one of the 400 thoughts that went through my head when my face was hitting the dirt

Hmm almost happened to me on my last ride, I was booting down a trail and had I cut it a little wide, i woulda been shish kebab, a tree was bent over, kinda like you see in the movies where they make huge spears hold them at an angle for cavlary to run into....

I slowed down and went around, a few minutes later on my way back, I stopped and moved it, well bent it and hooked it securely on another tree... so worst case would be a glacing blow...

Thar be a reason why I wear a jacekt with a heavy heavy canvas outter, adds a slight layer of protection over a regular jacket..

shis-kabob

takes me back a few years when trail riding dirtbikes.....buddy took a dead lodgepole pine thru the neck into the esophagus, was pulling wood chunks out of his mouth, very little blood, we rode out and took him to the ER to find that the tree went between two major arteries, just knicking them but not penetrating, now has a scar halfway around his neck...
