Traveling os with avi packs?

Anyone had any problems with airlines with the empty canisters going on the plane? I know you need a form with the canister.

We have had a few customers who have had troubles, but for the most part if you can show that the canister is empty then you shouldn't have any troubles transporting the canister in your checked luggage. If you can remove the top of the canister so the TSA can look inside, then that is the best option. We had a customer get their canister taken away even though it was empty because the top of the canister didn't come off; so even though the gauge showed empty, he couldn't "prove" that it was actually empty.

I would mail it (ups, fedex whatever) to wherever i was going to avoid that hassle. Then it would be full and ready to go. You can mail it early to the hotel or lodge where you are staying then confirm its arrival before you leave home.

This brings up a great point where it would be awesome if dealers worked to get some demo units where a person who was travelling to an area could visit the local dealer, use their cartridge and leave a credit card number and when it was returned the credit slip torn up. Then you could just travel with your pack. I bet if you worked with a local dealer they might help you out on this, just a thought...

Would love to mail it but its going from the US to OZ, pretty sure they would stop it from traveling. I will try the empty method and refill once I'm home.
