Traveling Kalispell to Portland to Sioux Falls in mid August.

I will be traveling from Kalispell, MT to Portland OR around 8/6.
Then I will be traveling from Portland to Sioux Falls thru Spokane, Billings & Rapid City around 8/8 to 8/10.
Then I will be traveling from Sioux Falls back to Kalispell thru Fargo, Minot & Havre around 8/13 to 8/15.
I will be moving my daughter and her husband from Portland to Sioux Falls.

Looking to buy a reasonably priced 23' to a 25' enclosed snow trailer in the Portland area and sell it along the route back from Sioux Falls. I may have a trailer along the entire trip. Or if somebody would like one delivered along this route I would do it free of charge for it's use.

I will also have sufficient room to haul sleds, 4wheelers or what have you along this route for a (cheaper than you could go get it) charge.

I am open to ideas that will cut my costs. PM me.

Tell your daughter and husband welcome to Sioux Falls for me! Are they snowmobilers? If I had some money on my pocket I might be interested in a good deal on a trailer that size. Unfortunately the cupboard is pretty bare at the moment.

I will let them know. Yea, both are sledders especially when the old man is buying. My daughter has been sledding with me since she was two. Her husband and his folks have been doing it for about 5-6 years. They usually come home to Kalispell for a week every winter, I supply the sleds and we have a good time.
Sioux Falls is twice as far as Portland so not sure about this winter, maybe a yellowstone meet might be in the works?
So what is the good, the bad & the ugly about Sioux Falls?

The bad is that the closest reasonable snow is an 8 hour drive (Black Hills in western South Dakota). Sioux Falls is a nice small city - about 150,000 people I think. Next bigger city is about a 4 hour drive, Minneapolis or Omaha. Because of that it's kind of a regional center and is growing by leaps and bounds. Mostly white collar industries. Credit cards/banks and medical are probably the two biggest growth industries, so it's mostly a clean town without any real bad or dirty neighborhoods. If you're into the big city entertainment type stuff you'll be disappointed. Dollar goes further here than in many parts of the country. Also usually aren't as affected by the down cycles (or the ups) as the rest of the country.

Why are they moving here, particularly from Portland?

He was accepted to your local college for his last year. They have some sort of high density program which he can do in 1 year. Other colleges are 18 to 24 months for the same thing. Don't know much more about it other than he was glad to get in.

I would be interested in the trailer if the price is right! I'm looking for something 22 ft total length, enclosed alum. V is right Sioux falls is decent town, my brother in law lives there he is a fire fighter. He could pick the trailer if it works. Keep me posted!

Now for my new problem. You folks that live in Sioux Fall live among theves. On top of that your police dept is worthless. Some a??hole stole the hood off of my truck and did several hundred dollars damage doing it. So I called your local cops. NO SHOWS!
You locals need to keep an eye out for a white cowl hood for a 1988-2000 chevy truck. pm me if you see it running around. The only way your cops will find it is if it drops on them at the donut shop. yea I am pissed.
