Transynd Fluid

Anyone here run it in their tranny? I am going to do my tranny this week and have been told by a diesel mechanic that it is the ONLY fluid he would run. Claims it is what they run in all the garbage trucks. I would guess the trannys on those trucks get abused pretty hard. Start and stop all day, running the PTO.

what I have found from years of abusing trannies..fluid isnt near as important as getting the heat out of it..if you can keep the tranny temps below 180 it will last forever..200 cuts the life in half..on my 659 hp mudbuggy running a 3500 stall converter turning 44 boggers I built my own pump/cooler that kept the fluid temps under 160...no more tranny issues ever...

I have been running it in my Allison transmission since the day I bought my Duramax - good product. From the people I talked to it was the best option for the Allison. I do agree with AKSnowrider above - The biggest issue with transmission failures is due to heat. Keep the temperatures down and your tranny will last a lot longer.

But as far as the Transynd goes - do it, you won't regret it.

Good luck -

It is a good product and Allison on the heavy duty trans will give extra warranty on the trans if you run it. Also they say if you do run it you can double your change interval but they depends on how hard you work it. ONe lesson we learned is to not run it in a Ford Trans. It is to slippery and will fail the trans quickly.

There is a deep pan conversion that is very effective in keeping temps low as well. If you pull a lot it is a good idea. Gains approx. 3-4 quarts more fluid. Price is pretty good as well. I work with Allisons, PM me if interested.
