ok I have always wondered what the laws regarding parking at trailhead parking lots with the toyhauler. someplace like the big lots on Grand Mesa by the Thunder MTN lodge or Rabbit ears ,wolfcreek, etc.

Im not talking about throwing out the TIKI torches and lawn chairs, but can I park overnight. Just parked. the whole rig ready to roll .

I can see how thats a probelm during snow removal. I have a turbo coming and it sure would be nice to roll up and get it dialed in a weekend without the back and forth.

Thanks in advance

I would assume for snow removal operations they would have an issue with it, i've seen quite a few parkers overnight at Mesa. I believe alot of the lots are marked which tell you no overnight camping/parking. You could call CDOT or State Patrol on the issue.

The grand mesa has a parking lot for overnight camping at the visitors center

Rabbit Ears..same thing...even alot of diesel pushers pulling four places with two people 'camping" out in it.

WC can't camp overnight that I know of...but I see some rigs and truckers parked on a frontage road in South Fork

thats what I need to find out I am gonna go all in on the trailer to get it "sled ready"

I want to spend A LOT more time on the hill this year!

I think they overlook camping. Nothing at the lots that says you can or can't as far as I know? The fact they don't charge would lead me to believe it's not really supported by the FS. They just haven't had a problem with it YET. Give em time, that'll be next on the block. Greenrock at the snowies specifically says no overnight parking, so that's pretty clear. The first lot at GC, the same. The bigger the rig and the fewer people in it, the better, seems to be the trend...Just means fewer riders can get in to park, so I wholeheartedly support huge rigs with a couple of trail sleds in a six place trailer. Forces people to spread out and not all crowd into one riding area. bwhahahahhaha

I was planning on keeping it low profile. I have 50% of my weekends free and want to disapper as often as possible and stay gone! Itwould be nice for the family outings too. and like most of us I could sure as hell make better use of my 6 year old near new toyhauler.
