Trailers? Who's the best?

I am looking at buying a new enclosed trailer this year. I have owned a couple different brands and I am looking for some opinions. I currently own a Wells and I think they make a nice trailer.....very well built. Had an Interstate and was never happy with it. What do you think of Mirage or Featherlite? Has anyone ever owned a Trails West? They make a real good horse trailer and I see from their web site they now make enclosed snowmobile trailer. What do you think?

I might own another Mirage if they gave it to me for free .... :face-icon-small-dis

I just ordered an Atlas and it looks real good. Went with 5200# axles, low profile. Mirage seems to be getting a REAL bad name lately, I wouldnt touch one from the stories I am hearing. Had many Featherlites over the years, top notch, but top dollar too.

Triton and Featherlite are tops. I'm sure others are good but don't have personal experience with them.

Triton and Featherlite are the top of the food chain.

IMO, Triton tops the list because of the lock system they use...none better, but comes at a price (then again, how much is a secure trailer worth??).

Featherlite is my top choice, Triton has cool locks but the Featherlite frames and overall build quality seems the best to me.

The new trails west is sweet. There is no comparison between it and my Haulmark or a wells. The Trails West is the nicest trailer right off the lot I've seen. I think it's easily the same quality as a triton or featherlite. The one I just looked at was insulated, heated and really well built. It was also $10,500 for a 27 ft.

We have a triton and it has been a great trailer no complaints at all it's a 4 place enclosed. I would personally say if you want a plain trailer to just load the sleds and go the triton is good but if you were to heat it and mount alot of things I would go with featherlight.

take a look at the nash car trailers in my sig. they are a sweet trailer, can be custom built with any option you want, including a flat screen tv, heater, stereo, etc. they are a real quality trailer, all aluminum construction, and they hold up real well. pm me for pricing and options.

We have had Haulmark, Wells and Featherlite.

I think the Featherlite has the best quality ~ but can lack in features. Being your fairly young ... I would go with a full aluminum Feather or Wells SS series, both will be in the $15-$17k range (lacking some options) but will last forever.

Does anyone have any experience with "Lightning" aluminum trailers?

It's a Berkshire Hathaway company....I wouldn't think Warren Buffet is gonna produce a sh!tty product.

Pricing is good on those, but with a one year warranty? They are on the low end of build quality for aluminum trailers.

Do you have Aluma out in that area?

Would really like an Aluma or Sled Bed in-line.

If the right deal comes along.............:face-icon-small-hap

Lightning is the low end side of Rance racing trailers both Warren Buffett companies. Rance is just as good as Featherlite, but less money. Triton and Aluma seem nice but have no experience with them. All these are aluminum trailers. Contact Jonny Ringo on here for Rance and Lightning pricing. He delivers to Wyoming for very little $ this time of the year

I can't speak directly about an enclosed Aluma trailer, but I love my 16' open Aluma. Their build quality is top notch! The toungue is made with double rectangle stock with an I beam welded inside of one of the rectangles. If their enclosed trailers have the same craftsmanship as the opens, you will be very pleased.

They look pretty sweet and the price is very decent as well. I'll be looking at them when I'm ready to buy.

Triton 4 place enclosed - best I have ever had, pulls as easy full as a steel empty I don't know why just does, had mine for 3 years - I wonldn't hesitate in buying another - more money but less depreciation kinda like buying a chev vs a Ford :face-icon-small-hap LOL
