Trailer tire question

Need to get some new tread on the enclosed and have the choices of 175/80/13 or 205/75/14. I'd like to go with the bigger tire but I've only got 2-1/2 to 3" clearance between the floor and top of the tire, the trailer came with 175/80/13's on it and the guy I bought it from went to 185/80/13's and those aren't one of my options, so it's either back to stock or try and go a little bigger yet.

Any opinions on the smaller tire? Is it going to handle the speed and weight or should I try and stuff the bigger one under it?

You can try it, butt the 205 is around 1 1/2" taller, depending on your springs and the load your hauling, the tires will most likely hit your fender or bed. The 185 is a good choice, only about 3/4" taller, yet increases your gvw about 200 to 250 lb. The tire widths aren't alot different and shouldn't affect mounting. You should check on the trailer or with the manf. to see the tire options available.
