Trailer sway?

I am on our way outwest driving an Excursion pulling a Dance Renegade 36' x 8' wide. It seems to pull fine until we pass a semi them it sways all over. Wondering what we could do to help it sway less. Moving the sleds forward?
Thanks in advance.

Most of the time trailer sway is caused from insufficient tongue weight. It will become very evident above 65-70mph. Ideally u want 10-15% tongue weight.

The trailer is a quad axle. So it would be tough to get much tongue weight. Next stop we will move a sled forward.

Moved one sled forward and it made all the difference. 80 mph no problems. Thanks.

I had the same problem with my excursion ,I fixed the problem by buying a f-350 dually ,no more problems

I have a Husky Centerline hitch ... Its similar in the theory an Equalizer hitch, but towing a 33' enclosed that is quite heavy for a 4 place I have to say its been a boon to towing a bumper pull .... In the event your back end loses traction it helps keep the truck straight, in the event the trailer picks up wind it helps keep the trailer straight.

Its somewhat of a PITA to hitch up, but if you're going on a trip its well worth it. You can adjust it for trailer loading to properly dial in the amount of tongue weight on your truck, and used in conjunction with air bags it pulls like a dream.
