Trailer length

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long of a Vnose sled trailer I need to squeeze 3 mountain sleds in. All trailers I am looking at are 8 wide. I was hoping to stay under 20 feet.

Depends on track length of your mountain sleds. If there up in the 162 range you won't get 3 of them into a 20 footer.

What about is a 20 foot total enclosed (4 feet of V nose)
and do you think you could put 3 162 tracks???? if so what is the best way to load/??

I have had 2 151's and 1 162, and that went easily but have never done 3 162's

We always load from the front, 2 machines against the back door with the tunnels pushed all the way over to the front door side, and then the third machine pulls in far enough to slide the tunnel into the nose.

162's would be tight but have never been there so can't tell you for sure

I have hauled 3 Apex's IN my 20' Charmac. 15' to the square with a 5' V nose. Pull them in the front door. Two to the back ski tips touching the back door. Spred the tails out as far as possible. Put the front of the third one in between the tails and the tail of the third one in the V nose. It is tight with 162's but do able.

I always load form the front. For two reasons.

One so I don't have to pull them out and turn them around to fit three. Yes I can fit three in front wards but I have alot more room in backwards.

Second so I do not have to deal with draging the corner of my hood on the corner of the front door jamb as you pull them out. Been there done that do not like it.

I have a 27' v-nose enclosed trailer and with 2 162" sleds that are loaded from the back and pulled tight together, the back door is tight to the rear bumper on the back sled and it is about 2 feet between the skis on the front machine and the front of the V. Never tried loading them backwards cause that's welllll backwards.:D:beer;

3 in a 20' loaded properly will work. Remember the 20' is measured generally from the straight part and the "v" part is not counted in the total length of the trailer. At least it isn't on the open trailer world.

20' will actually be a 24' total enclosed area with probably a 3' or so long hitch.

If you want everything to be under 20' including the hitch, uh, that will be tough.

opens are generally measured just on the square (20' trailer plus the 4' v or whatever) but enclosed trailers are usually measured from the front of the v (24' trailer=20' trailer plus 4' v). so if you are looking at a 20' v it is pry a 16' with 4'v. that should be more than enough for 3 sleds, especially if loaded from the front, and leave plenty of room for gear and etc.

3 162's no problem in this trailer. Let me know if you are interested. Very flexible on the price.02 DD enclosed 4 place. 20 ft box plus 4ft v. Complete ski guides including ramps. Flooring is indoor/outdoor carpet on the deck and the ramps. "track catchers"for traction on the ramps, helmet shelving, oil shelving, coat hooks, stored indoors, new tires including spare which is mounted inside the trailer on the wall. Never seen snow until this season!!! It was used for sturgis 3 times and quads in the summer a couple of times. The frame is steel and still looks great!! Aluminum sides. I can't seem to upload the photos so please e-mail for photos. This trailer really is in excellent shape and you won't be dissapointed.interior width is 8 ft and I'm not sure of the height but I think it is 6'4". 7500.00 OR BEST OFFER. I don't need this large of a trailer. I'm looking for a sled deck or an inline two place.

Thank you.

I have a 20 foot wall trailer with 4 foot V and we load the front 2 sleds in backwards and the rear 2 sleds in forwards. All the sleds are 162's. Its tight but they go. I'd buy a 22 or 24 next time as it'll tow the same anyways.

Well I would hope you can get 2 162's in a 27' enclosed, even with the back door closed.:D

I have a 12' v-nose open drive on/off Aluma. I can put three sleds on there but it is tricky. We have to drive on on normal, drive another on from the front, scoot them over together and then drive the last one up. It's not ideal, but I don't want a trailer bigger than this 12' (it is 19' with the v-nose and tongue). The sled we put on backwards is a 144" Doo, but I think you can probably get a 155" on there too.
