Trailer Heat

This may be a stupid question but has anybody used a form of electric heat in their enclosed trailer? Just thinking that if you have a generator you could run the heat and not have to carry propane tanks.

Converting fuel to heat is extremely efficient.

Converting fuel to electricity and then converting that electricity into heat is not very efficient.

Result; you would burn considerably more dollars worth of fuel using a generator w/elec heat.

You would need a fairly large output generator to run electric heat in a trailer. A 2000 watt generator is only going to run a 1500 watt heater and that isn't going to heat your trailer up much if it's cold outside. I tried that and it just doesn't work like a forced air rv furnace. I'm sure with a large enough generator and several heaters you would warm the trailer up.
Just my opinion.
