Trailer Battery -- Determing AH, etc

Thanks, great info on battery AH requirement!

I think 2x 6v (200AH each) will be way over kill (at least for my current setup)..but i shouldn't have to worry at all then. And should easily get 2 nights.
Fans may run more to try to get gear dried though..

6V batts

Another question, can the 2x 6v in series be paralleled w/ my trucks charging system w/o harm? Battery type matter?
You are putting them in the trailer, right? They can be parralleled no problem, buy the Trojan golf cart batts (more expensive and bigger/heavier, but SO worth it); you will be glad you did! I think you will be suprised how much is required to power your setup, and using them in the winter is even more demanding yet... And don't run them down below 10.5 volts; they should last you several years! :beer;

Correction

3x12v = 36v (in SERIES)

Sorry, I meant Parrallel. This keeps the system at 12 volts, but triples the Amps which is so critical during the winter when the batteries get cold.

Also, we used the spray in foam a fill in the walls and it works great.

For those of you who are looking at the BLUE FLAME HEATERS, keep in mind that they do NOT work long term above 4000 ft & you WILL freeze your *** off when it quits in the middle of the night. Trust me! (personal experience)

Yep, inside the trailer, next to heater.
I'll be looking for some (2) ~200+ ah 6v deep cycles from costco or batteries plus.
