Has anyone put on the Trail tank with a powderlites rear mount turbo. If so how did the lines like to fit under the tank. Looked at it at haydays and seemed like it would be a pretty tight fit for 4 lines to make it under there.

Thanks

kirk

Don't have Powderlites, but MCX. Our group has a couple mcx rear mounts and we put the trailtanks on. Everything is tight but it does fit.

does the mcx have a coolant charge and return, and a oil charge and return line. Assume it does, but have never seen one

thanks

were these the newest versions of the trail tank??

I run the same sled/turbo as you do. I spoke to someone at Trail Tank (cant remeber the persons name) and they said it was going to be a very tight fit. Also, was told that the charge tube was going to hit the left corner of the tank and would require the tank to be heated enough to make the plastic soft enough to mold it to the charge tube. Hearing this and upgrading my hoses to Aeroquip lines was enough for me not to get the tank.

I have one on my PL kit. It's the third Generation trail tank though. It fits pretty decent. Not quite factory but close. I'd like to reroute some lines later to make it even better. The kit came with not nearly enough coolant hose IMO.

Did you have any problem with the charge hose, having to heat the tank and re-mold it??

It's pretty tight in that area but it works. I did have to make my charge tube longer though to make it better but it did fit before. It was a couple of inches shorter than it should be. I didn't heat up and bend the tank at all.

I've modified a few PL's with trail tanks to fit. You just need to cut the tube a few inches back and angle it.
