trail riding an rmk

i have an 2010 rmk dragon 155 and find myself in a pickle where i am going to be doing a lot of trail riding this year and was wondering what is the best improvement to do or set up for trail.
i know it is not a trail machine but hope i can find something i can do to make due and still be able to enjoy off trail when i get a chance.

I have put it up for sale for $6600 which seems like a good price, correct me if i am wrong.

put it up for sale thinking my best bet is to sell it and get an assault.

get a set of scratchers you will eat hyfaxs riding on hard packed trails all the time. The only other thing I can think of is more aggressive set of carbids for the skies. In powder they don't make a big difference but with long tracks on a trail the mountain sleds typically push really bad in corners so you need all the help you can get up front.

ty i have the scratchers on it and put some powder pros on it with 6" carbide but problem seems to be to tipsy on trail , which i like off trail but on trail tipsy is no good. havent tried it yet with the new skis so we will see what difference that makes

Set your skis to the widest stance, that should help some and still maintain off trail manners.

Have you looked into adjustable shocks that you could turn up when trail riding?

Is your sway bar still there? If you have Walker shocks, they lose pressure over time and need recharged. To adjust the skis, you take out the bolt that mounts them to the spindle and move the spacer washers. I believe that there is three? Move them to the one side of the ski that moves it away from the center of the machine. Put some anti-seize on the bolt as it corrodes in there and gets hard to remove.

Thank you on the ski tip, I will move them out. My shocks are brand new walker Evans coils with reservoir. I think comp is adjusted with knob on top and might not hurt to put mote spring pressure on it also

We trail ride about 50% of the time being from Mi. I have been trail riding 144's RMK's since 06 and the last 2 years I have been trail riding a 155 ProRMK. I also still have an 08 600 RMK 144. I usually run my ski stance in the center. On my 08 my wife now trail rides it so I set it all the way to the widest setting. She has no problem. Keep in mind we run pretty hard but we are not trying to run with the short track superstars. They are more tipsy but a lot of fun especially when you can dive off into the deep.

Get A long snow flap to go with your scratchers, And Don't worry about the long track you'll get used to it!

If you are strickly going to trail ride you might try shorting up your limiter straps also to give some ski pressure, but if you are going to jump on and off trail leave them long
