Trail Groomer Opinions

Looking for suggestions on a trail groomer for snowmobile club in Rocky Mountain region that is grooming 100 + / - miles a week. Due to past history with club members the model needs to be a Bombardier. I feel the club has been getting groomers that are too big, too slow for what we need. The last few have had 12' front blades and I feel this is bigger that we need considering the width of 1/2 of our trails. Need some suggestions to back up the change I will propose we make. I'm pretty sure I'm fighting a huge uphill battle with the old guard of the club but I need to start somewhere. Thanks

Here in SE Idaho where we groom we have 3 groomers, One is what I would call full size and it makes the same runs between St. Charles, Cub River, Paris, Bloomington and Copenhagen parking lots. The other 2 smaller ones hit the rest of the areas where traffic is less and the trails don't need groomed like what our bigger groomer does. Just by talking with the man in charge of Parks and Rec. here he loves his big groomer but it gets spendy very quick. The smaller ones are a little more cost friendly. Our grooming program will groom anywhere from 4000 to 6000 miles a year if I remember correctly.

Get the smaller one if your area can get away with it, but if it can't then you will want the bigger Cat to get the job done! :)
