Hey guys and gals, im makin a trade this saturday of my motocross bike for a 04 king cat and im just curious on some of the gear you guys are using. As far as motocross gear i have it all, years worth of stuff. I have noticed alot of you guys are wearing motocross helmets and googles is this right? As far as boots I have been lookin at some Klims and stuff and they look no different from a snowboarding boot which i have a very nice and warm pair of. Am i way off track with this or is what im seeing about right? I have a group of buddies that i will be riding with but i figured i would ask you guys and get a broader opinion on it. Thanks in advance. Travis

Moto style helmets work great...I'd get a face frost cover for the area between the front of the helmet and your goggles. As far as boots go....snowboard boots work great...just make sure the loops for the laces don't rub on the seat...I've seem many a seat ruined that way....welcome to the darkside..:D

Most all of MX goggles are singles lens, snow goggles are double lens. Your MX goggles will fog like a mother then frost over. You need some snow goggles.

Get a beacon, shovel, and probe and learn how to use them, hopefully your riding buddies can help. A good day pack w/ survival gear, and be sure to layer your threads to stay warm/ cool. You'll never forget the day you didn't bring extra gloves when you needed them. Klim does make some great gear, also check out slednecks and 2be.
