Trackspeed while climbing.

So I took my sled out for the first time on the hill out in cooke over new years and after getting my rpms right on 7800 on pulls my speedometer was reading 55mph up the hill. never dropped, never went any higher.

Now is this how i know what my track speed is or is this incorrect?

Also this is on 09 m1000 slp pipe kit power commander bdx intake and 44/36 helix. I took the back float in the suspension and set it at 95 psi instead of the stock 145 psi.

From what ive been told 55 is very good but I wasnt very impressed with it. Reminded me of my m7 while climbing just went lots higher. It was torquey and snappy on the trails but while climbing felt like i was spinning and winding out and wasnt outclimbing everyone by as much as i thought it would.

Am i expecting more than the sled is capable of or isthere a way to fix this spinning and winding out problem i feel it has?

Do your sled a favor and put the float pressure back at 145psi minimum. it will trench less and go farther. I tried every suspension setup on adjusting the shocks and about a 1/4 preload on the front skid shock and 155psi in the rear goes the farthest. I weigh 205lb dry. and my buddie weighs 155lbs and his is set at 150 psi. Oh, and all of the testing was done at Cooke too. Track speed will depend on the steepness of the hill and the actual speed your moving. I think if you get some more traction with the skid setup right you will loose track speed but go farther. I averaged about 47mph last year, but climbed as high or higher than anyone else without a turbo,

perfect

thats just what i wanted to hear. thanks
will be in cooke again on Jan 20th-24th to test this out.

Would like to see how it compares to mine, pretty much same setup just with a bd box. I'll be up there or close every weekend
