Gotta replace the track. Sheared the jackshaft, ripped a bunch of lugs off and who knows what else. 2015 Pro RMK 800 163 with Boondocker Agility Turbo with Intercooler Riding mostly 6000ft elevation in the Black Hills of SD. Lots of boondocking in the trees where there are not a shortage of land mines. I also have to run down trails and dive off due to a large trail system cris crossing the terrain, closed off private property etc. Couple trips further west every year, mainly the Big Horns. I see alot of sleds with ripped lugs and holes in tracks with the amount of logs, stumps, rocks and branches. My thought was go with a Camoplast Peak 2.5. Looked at weights.
Polaris Series 6 163 2.6 weights 52lbs
Camoplast Challenger Extreme 163 2.5 weighs 59lbs
Camoplast Peak 163 2.5 weighs 65lbs
Best I could find on the weights. God I hate the idea of that much more rotating weight vs the Series 6 but I'm thinking the durability and from lots of reports, the grip that the Peak may be the way to go over the Series 6. (especially at the $$ difference considering I can get a Peak 2.5 for roughly $800. But is it going to be a dog after swapping. houghts?
