Tracker2 shutting themselves OFF during a ride...

Went out yesterday. Rode 45 miles.

Did a beacon check when we left the truck. My new Tracker2 was ON and operational.
I wear it on top of my tek vest and under my coat.
Had my backpack on...nothing really to cause problems...or so I thought.

Get back to the truck, took my removed my beacon and went to turn the dial to shut it off...and found it was ALREADY TURNED OFF!!

Somehow during the day, the dial was turned by itself. I can only assume that something rubbed or pushed against it, which caused the dial to turn. I can't imagine what it would have been.

I can't believe that this happened, given the configuration of the on/off switch, but now I will not fail to check periodically to make sure it's still on.

Hmm this is not good to hear. Im assuming that everything was in the pouch like it is supposed to be etc? I always wondered if it was possible to turn the switch on these back when I was using the DTS, but now that I have a Tracker 2 I didnt even think twice about it. Let us know if you find out anything more, we would love to pass it along to our customers!

i will do that.
I'm going to pop an email to them, with a picture of how I have it in the pouch. I want to clarify and hope to solicit suggestions from BCA.

I asked BCA specifially how it goes into the pouch (knowing you could put either in first and have either side facing out.

I was told that the red on/off dial should be showing through the circle in the cover flap.

Thats what we tell our customers too, so yes please let me know what they say! PM me if you would!

Mine's done that since day 1, I wear it under my jacket, but over my chest protector. It's never turned itself completely off, but the dial is usually almost in the off position. I have since turned my beacon around in the pouch and it's never done it again.
