Here's one I saw when I was up on the North Slope last may. Not as flashy but more user friendly.

i was there as well and saw that. took a pile of pics of that and more. at least i saw 2 yamaha sleds there and one with a supercharger. so that was cool.

NO it does not become a snowmobile because of tracks.........the defination of a snowmobile is track driven and steared by a ski or skis, and the new atv s with tracks are not allowed on groomed snowmobile trails eather ..............I know we are going to have a problem with this issue as a lot of dealers are telling people that they are legal to use on the trails...................

gas company here has acouple sets of mattracks they put on in the winter, go about anywhere

i've check into a set of matttracks for a pickup for up at the cabin to go out on the lake of the woods and they are $35,000. some people up there have them little chevy trackers with just the atv tracks from matt tracks, which are pretty affordable. they go just about any where

At least it's lighter than the sled I'm riding now!! If I remember right there is also a plasma tv in the hood. Great for sled videos!

Here in mid-Minnesota we have had the same discussions, but not a big problem......yet.
Tracked ATV's or converted dirt bikes with a ski and track set up, are not allowed on snowmobile trails.
Grooming and trail maintenance equipment excepted, of course.

The MN DNR falls back on what was "the original use intent" of the vehicle. A dirt bike with a track and front ski is not a "snowmobile", at least not in MN.

Now, before somebody asks about a Snow Hawk, I don't know the answer. But its original "intent" was to operate on snow, so..... 'spose it ok. Dunno, never seen one around here.

Did anyone see that old Chevelle or Impala that had the Duramax with twin turbos on it? I can't remember for sure what kind of car it was, but it looked pretty BA. I'll have to dig through my pics. I know i got a few shots of it.
