i got a set of 162 rails iam putting on my 2001 ski doo 700 iam changing the drivers down does anyone know what you have to do to convert it to the 2 driver set up instead of the 4 drivers. if i cant convert it to 4 drivers what track do u recommend i wanna stay at stock paddle height and pitch or for the 2 driver set up what track would you recommend stock pitch also.

There called anti ratchet drivers. Get the camoplast challenger track.16.162.2.25 or 15 inch wide. A 16in wide will fit.2.52 pitch.shaft should be 1 1/8 or 1 1/4
You have to pull the rear skid and then pull the drive shaft out, press old drivers off ,then press new ones on.
Raise rear of sled.
4 bolts and the skid is out.Front (footwell) 2 are ez, nut on backside,Rear Use Air impact is easiest. Break one side loose then retighten. Breaks loc tight loose, then break other side loose.
loosen rear axle adj nut and back bolt off till track is really slack.
remove skid.
while draining chain case.
Left side.
remove speedo cable.
remove the 3 nuts.
Right side.
remove chain case cover
slack chain and remove.
remove lower gear and bearing.
lay underneith and work track off shaft while sliding the shaft to the right so studs on the left side clear tunnel.
VIOLA its out. ZX and rev track swaps can take about an hr. xp a lil longer.

when i press the 4 drivers off and put new on do i just press 2 on or do i have to do something special to the shaft like put a spacer in between the 2 drivers

No spacer needed, the new drivers are designed to replace all 4 of the old style. Also, set the park brake before you pull the chain loose and break that lower gear bolt loose.

Mark the shaft where the inner drivers are prior to removal. If I'm correct. The tunnel is 16.5 wide inside. Measure the distance from the edge of the track to the windows. Should have about a 1/4 clearance on each side . If your putting a 16 wide in there. If someone on here is reading this and already has the shaft out. Maybe they could give inside measurements from the center of the shaft. Are you putting a 15 or 16 wide? There's a few little things to do to make it fit clear.

it is a 16.5 wide tunnel and since i think iam gonna do a 15 in wide track i will just mark the same place as the the old outside drivers were set in correct.

i have a track avalble that is a 162 the only problem it has a 3in pitch since iam droping the drivers down to a 7 tooth can that 3 in pitch fit with out hitting the front cooler

Mark the shaft using inside side cog of the outside driver and the outside cog of the inside driver. This is where your anti rachet driver will need to be. Center new driver in between. The stock drivers used there side cog to spin the track. In between the lugs in the track is the window where the teeth go through. .02 could be mistaken.
