Track wear

Is this normal for a track with 600 miles on it? What causes this type of wear on the track?

i can't wait to ride it. just need a little bit more snow up in the high country. well, that and a way to access that snow. 4 more weeks should do it.

Just melt the frayed ends away with a lighter. I have an 09 D8 and it does the exact same thing. nothing to worry aboout
