Track upgrade for Timbersled.

Hey just looking for some info on upgrading the track on my 15 timbersled 120. Maybe go to to a 129. So here it is have several hours searchin and reading but I know some of you know the anwser if there is one. Love the track on my 2016 yeti kit. Rode some 16 Tsmh and they very work well. What tracks are avalible and where do you by them? Has anyone ever weighed them in a comparision? In my opinion they are a huge upgrage being a heavy rider here in Wyoimin. Anybody gone down this rode and figure this out in the sea of options? Some good albeit old threads seems dated as fast as this has changed. lol thanks

I just picked up a yeti maxtrack 2.5 for my 15 TSLT 137". Going to try that this year to replace the stock TS 2" track. On 15's you need to get the drop bracket kit from TS. I ordered one from ice age as they have them in stock. The same guy I bought mine from also has one 120 maxtrack left that he's selling. If you use the yeti track though you will have to notch out the lugs to clear the chain. The TS track is already notched. I picked up the yeti track for $500 shipped. Not a bad deal! Can't wait to try it!

I don't know yet but I'm hoping it will make a big difference over the TS 2" track. My yeti track is still on it's way here and there's no snow yet in MN. I do know that the 16TS track is leaps and bounds better than the 15TS track. I found the yeti track cheap so I had to pick it up.

I'm in a holding pattern as to tracks. My gut feel is the Maxtrack I is going to go the way of the Maverick track. I made the mistake of buying a Maverick new, what a POS that track was, way too soft, If the Maxtrack I was the bomb there wouldn't be a Maxtrack II. Maybe I'm wrong but having talked with guys who have ridden both the one will soon be obsolete.

MaxTrack 1 is supposed to be great in powder conditions, but gives a little in crustier or heavier snow. Anyone try a 3" yet?

So was the Maverick but the stiffer CE 2.5 pounded it in every condition. I personally prefer the first gen CE 2.5 to the second gen as I had them both on basically the identical platform at the same time and the 1st gen was a better track. From what I hear talking with the guys who have ridden the Maxtrack II is it doesn't give up anything in the fluff to the I. Stiffer tracks just plain work.
